Product Description

I. Overview

The bored rubber stopper is designed for experiments requiring multiple glass tubes or conduits to pass through a single bottle opening. Pre-bored with 1~3 holes, it is ideal for complex distillation setups, gas washing bottles, and multi-port connections.

Natural rubber (NR) is the standard option, with silicone rubber (VMQ) for extreme temperatures and nitrile rubber (NBR) for oil and chemical resistance. Hole counts and diameters are customizable to meet specific requirements.

🔬 Product Advantages:
Multi-Hole Design — 1~3 holes for multiple tubing
Precise Hole Positions — Evenly distributed pre-drilled holes
Multi-Material — NR/VMQ/NBR for different environments
Reliable Sealing — Maintains seal with multiple passages
Flexible Customization — Hole count and diameter configurable

II. Key Performance Parameters

  • Material: NR / VMQ / NBR
  • Hole Count: 1~3 (customizable)
  • Hole Diameter: 3~12mm (customizable)
  • Temperature Range: -60°C ~ 250°C (varies by material)
  • Applications: Distillation, gas washing, multi-port connections

III. Material & Manufacturing

Manufactured from high-quality natural rubber (NR) as the standard option, with VMQ and NBR available upon request. Produced via precision compression molding with evenly distributed holes and smooth surfaces.

Holes are pre-drilled during manufacturing, ensuring consistent quality and eliminating the need for manual boring.

Applications

Typical Applications

Complex Distillation

Distillation head, thermometer, and gas tube simultaneously

Gas Washing Bottles

Inlet and outlet tubes passing through

Reflux Setups

Condenser and thermometer mounted together

Multi-Port Reactions

Multiple connections to reaction flask

Applicable Fields

  • Organic Synthesis Labs
  • Analytical Testing Labs
  • Chemical R&D Centers
  • Teaching Laboratories

Selection Guide

I. Select by Material

MaterialPropertiesApplications
Natural Rubber (NR)Excellent elasticity, economicalGeneral distillation, teaching
Silicone (VMQ)-60~250°C, non-toxicHigh temperature, food-grade
Nitrile (NBR)Oil and chemical resistantOrganic solvent systems

II. Select by Hole Count

  • Single Hole: Single glass tube — simple gas transfer or thermometer mounting
  • Double Hole: Two tubes — gas inlet+outlet, reflux setups
  • Triple Hole: Three tubes — complex multi-port connections

💡 Selection Tips: General distillation choose Single-hole NR.
Gas washing/Reflux choose Double-hole NR or silicone.
Complex multi-port choose Triple-hole.
Organic solvent systems choose NBR.
Best hole diameter: tube OD + 1~2mm for optimal fit.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

03

I. Preparation

  • Select the correct stopper size based on the opening diameter
  • Verify hole count and diameter match your requirements
  • Check that all holes are clear and unobstructed
04

II. Installation

  1. Insert the smaller end of the stopper into the opening with even pressure
  2. Pass each glass tube through its corresponding hole
  3. Adjust each tube to the desired position and height
  4. Confirm proper sealing around all holes

💡 Tips from Experienced Technicians: "Insert first, then thread" — Seat the stopper first, then pass tubes through holes.
"One hole at a time" — Insert tubes one by one for easier handling.
"Check alignment" — Ensure tubes don't interfere with each other.
"Lubricate holes" — Apply water or glycerin to tubes before insertion.

⚠️ Safety Notes

  • Wear lab coats, gloves, and safety goggles
  • Verify sealing integrity with multiple passages
  • Replace immediately if the stopper shows signs of aging or deformation
Do not
  • Use caution when inserting glass tubing to avoid breakage
