Product Description

Dropping bottles are essential tools for precision liquid dispensing in laboratories, manufactured from soda‑lime glass (borosilicate glass 3.3 optional). The inner surface of the bottle neck is precision‑ground to form a tight seal with the matching dropper, ensuring sealing integrity and precise control during dispensing. The clear glass body allows easy observation of contents and remaining volume. Select models offer a rubber bulb option for more flexible dispensing control, making them indispensable for precision reagent dispensing in chemistry, pharmaceutical, and biology laboratories.

Key Features

  • Soda‑lime glass (standard): Good chemical stability, moderate thermal expansion coefficient — cost‑effective for routine laboratory use
  • Borosilicate glass 3.3 (optional): ISO 3585 compliant, extremely low thermal expansion (3.3×10⁻⁶/K), thermal shock resistant to 280°C — ideal for autoclaving and demanding applications
  • Ground dropper: Precision‑ground fit ensures a tight seal and precise drop control
  • Rubber bulb optional: Select models available with rubber bulb for flexible dispensing control
  • High clarity: Clear glass body allows easy observation of contents and remaining volume
  • Multiple capacities: Available in 15mL, 30mL, 60mL, 125mL, 250mL, 500mL, and 1000mL

Quality Assurance

Every unit undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection, fit testing, and visual examination to ensure smooth, precise dispensing performance.

Note: Standard configuration is soda‑lime glass. Borosilicate glass 3.3 is available upon request. Dropping bottles are designed for general liquid reagent dispensing. The dropper and bottle are manufactured as a matched set — do not interchange with other brands. Please specify if you require the rubber bulb configuration when ordering.

Applications

Typical Uses

Chemistry labs

Precision dispensing of indicators, color reagents, and standard solutions

Biology labs

Drop‑by‑drop addition of stains and media supplements

Pharmaceutical industry

Precise addition of micro‑quantities of reagents

Educational labs

Routine dispensing operations in chemistry and biology classes

Analytical testing

Auxiliary dispensing for titration analysis

Compatibility Recommendations

Bottle + Ground Dropper

Standard configuration for routine precision dispensing

Bottle + Rubber Bulb

Optional configuration for flexible dispensing control

Bottle + Label

Use reagent labels for easy identification of contents

Tip: Dropping bottles are among the most frequently used dispensing tools in laboratories. Clear dropping bottles are suitable for general reagents, while amber dropping bottles are recommended for light‑sensitive reagents. The rubber bulb option provides more flexible control, especially for experiments requiring precise drop‑by‑drop dispensing. For applications requiring higher thermal and chemical resistance, we recommend choosing borosilicate glass 3.3.

Operation & Maintenance

Dropping Bottle User Guide

03

Before Use

  • Inspect for cracks, chips, or scratches before use
  • Ensure the bottle and dropper are clean and dry to prevent contamination
  • Verify that the dropper fits smoothly — no sticking or looseness
  • If using the rubber bulb option, check that the bulb is intact and elastic
04

Dispensing Procedure

  • Insert the dropper gently into the neck to ensure a snug fit
  • Tilt the bottle to bring the liquid into contact with the dropper tip
  • Squeeze the rubber bulb (if equipped) to draw liquid into the dropper
  • Position the dropper over the target container and release drops one by one
  • After dispensing, return the dropper to the bottle and cap securely
05

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean promptly after use to prevent residue from hardening
  • Clean the dropper with detergent and rinse 3× with distilled water
  • For stubborn residues, soak in dilute acid or specialty cleaning solution
  • Clean the rubber bulb with warm water — avoid organic solvents
  • Allow to air‑dry inverted on a draining rack
  • For long‑term storage, place a small piece of paper between the dropper and the neck to prevent seizing

Safety Notice

  • Always inspect for cracks or damage before use — damaged dropping bottles may break during use
  • When dispensing corrosive reagents, wear appropriate gloves to prevent skin contact
  • Rubber bulbs should not be exposed to strong organic solvents — this may cause material degradation
Do not
  • Do not force the dropper in or out — this may damage the neck or dropper
  • Handle with care — avoid impact and rough handling
