Product Description

Straight Gas Washing Bottles are commonly used apparatus for gas washing, drying, and absorption in laboratories, precision‑manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3. Featuring a straight inlet tube that delivers gas directly into the washing liquid, they offer simple structure, easy operation, and low gas resistance. Widely used in gas analysis, chemical synthesis, and environmental monitoring.

Key Features

  • Borosilicate glass 3.3: ISO 3585 compliant, thermal shock resistant to 280°C, excellent chemical resistance
  • Straight tube design: Simple structure with low gas resistance — ideal for applications requiring higher gas flow rates
  • High clarity: Pure, transparent glass allows easy observation of bubble condition and washing liquid status
  • Standard ground joints: Facilitates easy connection to gas tubing
  • Chemical resistant: Excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents

Quality Assurance

Every unit undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection, leak testing, and visual examination to meet the high standards required in professional laboratories.

Note: Straight Gas Washing Bottles are designed for gas washing, drying, and absorption operations. Ensure the bottle is clean and dry before use. Maintain proper liquid level to ensure the straight tube outlet is submerged. Clean promptly after use to prevent residue buildup.

Applications

Typical Uses

Gas analysis

Washing, drying, and pretreatment of gas samples

Chemical synthesis

Purification and drying of reaction gases

Environmental monitoring

Gas absorption and enrichment in air sampling

Laboratory gas purification

Washing and drying of various laboratory gases

Teaching experiments

Gas washing and drying operations in gas property experiments

Compatibility Recommendations

Bottle + Washing Liquid

Select appropriate washing liquid based on gas properties (water, acid, alkali, organic solvent, etc.)

Bottle + Desiccant

Can be loaded with desiccant for gas drying operations

Bottle + Tubing Connection

Connect gas tubing via ground joints

Bottle + Porous Gas Washing Bottle

Can be used in series for multi‑stage washing and drying

Tip: Straight and Porous Gas Washing Bottles can be used together — straight type offers low resistance and simple structure, while porous type provides superior gas dispersion. Choose based on your gas treatment needs.

Operation & Maintenance

Straight Gas Washing Bottle User Guide

03

Before Use

  • Inspect for cracks, chips, or scratches before use
  • Ensure the bottle is clean and dry to prevent contamination of gas or washing liquid
  • Check that the straight tube is intact — no clogging or damage
  • Verify that the joints are properly connected — no gas leaks
04

Gas Washing Procedure

  • Add appropriate washing liquid to the bottle — liquid level should cover the straight tube outlet by 2–3cm
  • Connect the inlet tube to the bottle joint, and outlet tube to downstream equipment
  • Introduce gas and observe bubble size and distribution
  • Adjust gas flow rate to balance washing efficiency and throughput
  • After operation, turn off gas supply before disconnecting tubing
05

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean promptly after use to prevent residue from hardening
  • Wash with detergent and a soft brush, rinse 3× with distilled water
  • For stubborn residues, soak in dilute acid or specialty cleaning solution
  • Clean the straight tube interior with a soft brush or cotton swab to prevent clogging
  • Allow to air‑dry inverted on a draining rack
  • Store carefully to avoid impact and breakage

Care & Notes

Safety Notice

  • Always inspect for cracks or damage before use — damaged bottles may break during use
  • Slowly introduce gas to prevent liquid splashing from excessive flow rates
  • When handling toxic or corrosive gases, use a fume hood and wear protective equipment
Do not
  • Select washing liquid based on gas properties to avoid hazardous reactions
  • Do not place gas washing bottles directly on hot plates or open flames
  • Handle with care — avoid impact and rough handling
