Product Description
The Screw-Cap Reagent Bottle is the ideal choice for modern laboratory storage, manufactured from soda‑lime glass (with borosilicate glass 4.0 or 3.3 optional). The bottle features a standard GL45 threaded neck with a high‑quality sealing cap, providing excellent sealing performance that effectively prevents evaporation, leakage, and contamination. The cap can withstand 121°C autoclaving, meeting the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical, biological, and food testing laboratories.
Three Material Options
Soda‑lime glass (standard): Good chemical stability, moderate thermal expansion coefficient — cost‑effective for routine laboratory use
Borosilicate glass 4.0 (optional): Thermal expansion coefficient 4.0×10⁻⁶/K, thermal shock resistant to 250°C — improved chemical stability over soda‑lime
Borosilicate glass 3.3 (optional): ISO 3585 compliant, extremely low thermal expansion (3.3×10⁻⁶/K), thermal shock resistant to 280°C — ideal for autoclaving and demanding applications
Key Features
GL45 standard thread: DIN 168‑1 compliant, compatible with all GL45 accessories
High‑quality sealing cap: Integrated sealing ring provides excellent leak‑proof and evaporation‑proof performance
Autoclavable: Cap withstands 121°C, 15psi autoclaving for sterile applications
Chemical resistant: Excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents
Quality Assurance
Every bottle undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection, seal integrity testing, and visual examination to meet the high standards required in professional laboratories.
Note: Screw-Cap Reagent Bottles feature the GL45 standard thread, compatible with all GL45 accessories including caps, connectors, and filtration units. When autoclaving, ensure the cap is slightly loosened to allow pressure equalization and prevent breakage. Select the appropriate material based on your requirements — soda‑lime for cost‑effectiveness, borosilicate 4.0 for improved thermal resistance, and borosilicate 3.3 for the highest thermal and chemical resistance.
Applications
Typical Uses
Pharmaceutical industry
Storage of APIs, intermediates, and finished products — GMP compliant
Biology labs
Sterile storage of media, buffers, sera, and cell culture media
Food testing
Storage of food samples, standard solutions, and additives
Chemistry labs
Secure storage of organic solvents, standard solutions, and corrosive reagents
Environmental monitoring
Collection and storage of water and soil samples
Compatibility Recommendations
Bottle + GL45 Cap
Standard configuration for general storage
Bottle + Filter Cap
Ideal for sterile solution storage and dispensing
Bottle + Connector
Enables tubing connections for liquid transfer
Bottle + Label
Use reagent labels for easy identification and inventory management
Tip: The GL45 thread is the industry standard interface, compatible with most laboratory accessories including caps, filters, and dispensers — making it the ideal choice for standardized laboratory management. For applications requiring higher thermal and chemical resistance, we recommend choosing borosilicate 4.0 or 3.3.
Operation & Maintenance
Screw-Cap Reagent Bottle User Guide
03
Before Use
Inspect for cracks, chips, or scratches before use
Ensure the bottle is clean and dry to prevent contamination of reagents
Check that the cap's sealing ring is intact — no deformation or damage
Ensure proper thread engagement — cap rotates smoothly when tightened
04
Storage Procedure
Fill with reagent — do not exceed 80% capacity
Align the cap with the neck and tighten clockwise to a moderate level (do not overtighten)
Wipe the exterior clean and apply a reagent label (name, concentration, date, etc.)
Store in a cool, dry, well‑ventilated area away from direct sunlight
05
Autoclaving Procedure
Before autoclaving, loosen the cap by half a turn to allow pressure equalization
Autoclave at 121°C, 15psi for 15–20 minutes
Allow to cool to room temperature before tightening the cap
After autoclaving, inspect the sealing ring for integrity
06
Cleaning & Maintenance
Clean promptly after use to prevent residue from hardening
For routine cleaning, use detergent with a bottle brush, rinse 3× with distilled water
For stubborn residues, soak in dilute acid or specialty cleaning solution
Replace the sealing ring periodically to maintain sealing performance
Allow to air‑dry inverted on a draining rack
Care & Notes

Safety Notice
Always inspect for cracks or damage before use — damaged bottles may break during use
When autoclaving, always loosen the cap — internal pressure may otherwise cause the bottle to burst
For volatile or corrosive reagents, ensure the cap is fully tightened and the sealing ring is intact
Do not
Do not place reagent bottles directly on hot plates or open flames
Handle with care — avoid impact and rough handling
