Product Description

Tall-Form Weighing Bottles are specialized containers for precision weighing operations in laboratories, precision‑manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3. The tall, narrow design with a stable flat base makes them particularly suitable for precision weighing and drying of solid powders, granules, and crystals. The ground glass stopper effectively prevents dust and moisture contamination, ensuring sample purity and stability during weighing. They are the preferred choice for weighing operations in chemical analysis, pharmaceutical, and food testing laboratories.

Key Features

  • Borosilicate glass 3.3: ISO 3585 compliant, extremely low thermal expansion (3.3×10⁻⁶/K), thermal shock resistant to 280°C
  • Tall design: Narrow body for easy handling with tweezers or dedicated tools — ideal for micro‑sample precision weighing
  • Ground glass stopper: Precision‑ground fit ensures a tight seal, preventing dust and moisture ingress
  • High clarity: Pure, transparent glass allows easy visual inspection of contents
  • Chemical resistant: Excellent resistance to most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents

Quality Assurance

Every unit undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection, seal integrity testing, and visual examination to meet the high standards required in professional laboratories.

Note: Tall-Form Weighing Bottles are designed for precision weighing and drying of solid samples. Ensure the bottle is clean and dry before use. Use dedicated tweezers for handling to avoid direct contact that may affect weighing accuracy.

Applications

Typical Uses

Chemical analysis

Precision weighing of solid samples, standard materials, and primary standards

Pharmaceutical industry

Weighing and drying of API powders, excipients, and intermediates

Food testing

Weighing and analysis of food additives and nutritional components

Educational labs

Weighing operations in analytical chemistry and quantitative analysis experiments

Environmental monitoring

Weighing and processing of soil and particulate samples

Compatibility Recommendations

Bottle + Ground Stopper

Standard configuration for routine weighing and moisture‑protected storage

Bottle + Dedicated Tweezers

Use dedicated tweezers for handling to prevent contamination and weighing errors

Bottle + Desiccator

Use with a desiccator for samples requiring constant weight determination

Tip: Tall-Form and Flat-Form Weighing Bottles work together to cover weighing needs for different sample types. Tall-form is ideal for free‑flowing powders and granules, while flat‑form is better suited for viscous and pasty samples.

Operation & Maintenance

Tall-Form Weighing Bottle User Guide

03

Before Use

  • Inspect for cracks, chips, or scratches before use
  • Ensure the bottle is clean and dry to prevent contamination of samples
  • Verify that the stopper fits properly — no wobble or sticking
  • For constant weight applications, dry the bottle in an oven to constant weight before use
04

Weighing Procedure

  • Use dedicated tweezers to handle the weighing bottle — avoid direct hand contact
  • Place the sample into the bottle and seal with the stopper
  • Weigh and record the mass on an analytical balance
  • After weighing, promptly seal the bottle to prevent moisture absorption or contamination
05

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean promptly after use to prevent residue from hardening
  • Wash with detergent and a soft brush, rinse 3× with distilled water
  • For stubborn residues, soak in dilute acid or specialty cleaning solution
  • Allow to air‑dry inverted on a draining rack
  • For long‑term storage, place a small piece of paper between the stopper and the neck to prevent seizing
