Product Description

Measuring cups are commonly used liquid volume measuring instruments in the laboratory, featuring a spout for easy pouring. Manufactured from high-quality borosilicate glass 3.3 with clear, reliable graduations. An essential measuring tool for any laboratory.

Two Specifications · Flexible Selection

RichTech offers Standard Measuring Cups and Russian Measuring Cups:

1. Standard Measuring Cups

  • ISO compliant.
  • Suitable for routine routine laboratory use.

2. Russian Measuring Cups

  • GOST compliant, Russian standard.
  • Designed for laboratories in Russia and CIS countries.
  • Dimensions differ from standard measuring cups — please select accordingly.

Graduation Options · Three Choices

  • White/Blue Printed (Standard): High-quality ceramic ink, clear and legible. Cost-effective for routine laboratory use.
  • Copper-Red Printed (Premium): Special ceramic ink, acid and alkali resistant, does not fade. Ideal for corrosive reagents.
  • Laser-Engraved (Premium): Permanently etched into glass, completely wear-resistant. Perfect for high-frequency and high-purity use.

Design Features

  • Spout Design: A pouring spout on the rim allows clean liquid transfer without running down the outer wall.
  • Clear Graduations: White/blue printed, copper-red printed, or laser-engraved options for quick and accurate reading.
  • High Transparency: Pure, clear glass for easy observation.
  • Uniform Wall Thickness: Even thickness for strength and durability.

Material Advantage

Manufactured from Borosilicate Glass 3.3 in accordance with ISO 3585 standards. The ultra-low coefficient of thermal expansion (3.3×10⁻⁶/K) ensures resistance to thermal shock up to 280°C.

Quality Assurance

Every piece undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection, accuracy verification, and visual inspection to meet high laboratory standards.

Note: Measuring cups are not designed for direct heating. The spout facilitates easy pouring but avoid pouring too quickly to prevent splashing. Place on a level surface for accurate reading.

Applications

Common Configurations

  • Measuring Cup Routine liquid measurement and transfer
  • Pipette + Measuring Cup Precise transfer and measurement
  • Beaker + Measuring Cup Solution preparation and dispensing
  • Dropper + Measuring Cup Precise liquid addition

Specific Applications

Solution Preparation

Standard solutions, buffers, culture media

Liquid Transfer

Spout facilitates clean pouring into other containers

Sample Measurement

Volume determination of environmental, food, and pharmaceutical samples

Teaching Labs

Basic chemistry experiments in schools and universities

Pharmaceutical Production

API preparation, intermediate testing

Chemical Analysis

Raw material and product purity analysis

Food Testing

Food composition analysis

Tip: The spout design of measuring cups makes liquid transfer convenient and efficient. Standard measuring cups are ISO compliant and suitable for routine laboratory use. Russian measuring cups (GOST) are available for Russia and CIS countries.

Measuring Cup Procedure

03

Preparation

  • Inspect the measuring cup for cracks, scratches, or other defects.
  • Ensure the cup is clean and dry before use.
  • Select a cup with appropriate capacity for the volume to be measured.
04

Measurement

  • Place the cup on a level surface with the base firmly in contact.
  • Pour liquid slowly along the inner wall to prevent liquid from running down the outer wall.
  • Read the volume with your eye level with the lowest point of the meniscus.
  • Read to the nearest 1/5 of the smallest graduation or as required.
05

Pouring Operation

  • Align the spout with the receiving container and tilt slowly.
  • The spout directs liquid flow, preventing it from running down the outer wall.
  • Pour at a controlled speed to prevent splashing from the sides.
06

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean immediately after use to prevent residue from drying.
  • Cups with white/blue printed graduations can be cleaned with standard laboratory detergents.
  • Copper-red printed graduations resist acid and alkali — standard cleaning is suitable.
  • Laser-engraved graduations withstand aggressive cleaning without affecting markings.
  • Use dilute acid or specialized cleaning agents for stubborn residues.
  • Rinse with distilled water and air-dry upside down on a drying rack.
  • Store carefully to avoid chipping and breakage.

Tip: The spout design of measuring cups makes liquid transfer clean and efficient. Proper use and maintenance significantly extend service life.

Care & Notes

Safety Notes

  • Inspect cups for cracks or scratches before use — damaged glass may break during use.
  • Place the cup on a level surface for accurate reading.
Do not
  • Do not heat measuring cups directly.
  • Do not use cups for vigorous stirring or grinding operations.
  • Handle and store with care, avoiding impact with hard surfaces.
