Product Description

I. Overview

The plastic beaker is a versatile laboratory container for liquid mixing, heating, and storage. Manufactured from high-clarity polymethylpentene (PMP) or polycarbonate (PC) through precision injection molding, featuring high clarity, smooth surface, and clear graduations.

Available in 25ml, 30ml, 50ml, 100ml, 150ml, 200ml, 250ml, 300ml, 400ml, 500ml, 600ml, and 1000ml sizes. The spout design facilitates easy pouring and prevents liquid from running down the outer wall. Clear printed graduations allow for quick volume estimation.

Compared to glass beakers, plastic beakers are shatterproof and safer to use. PMP material is autoclavable for sterile applications, while PC offers excellent impact resistance. Suitable for teaching labs, routine chemical analysis, solution preparation, sample storage, and more.

🔬 Material Features:
PMP (Polymethylpentene) — High clarity, withstands up to 150℃, autoclavable — ideal for heating and sterile applications.
PC (Polycarbonate) — High clarity, excellent impact resistance, up to 120℃ — ideal for routine room temperature use.
Spout Design — Facilitates easy pouring and minimizes spillage.

II. Core Performance Parameters

  • Material: PMP (Polymethylpentene) / PC (Polycarbonate)
  • Process: Precision injection molding
  • Spec Range: 25ml ~ 1000ml
  • Design: Spout for easy pouring
  • Graduations: Clear printed markings
  • Temperature Range: PMP: -20℃ ~ 150℃ / PC: -20℃ ~ 120℃
  • Chemical Compatibility: Resistant to dilute acids, alkalis, salt solutions, and many organic solvents
  • Sterilization: PMP autoclavable / PC not autoclavable

III. Material & Workmanship

Manufactured from high-quality PMP/PC resin through precision injection molding. The beaker body features uniform wall thickness, high clarity, and smooth surfaces. The spout is designed for smooth, drip-free pouring with clear, easy-to-read graduations.

Every batch undergoes rigorous dimensional and accuracy testing to ensure consistent quality.

Selection Guide

I. By Material

ApplicationRecommended MaterialReason
Heating or high-temperature operationsPMPWithstands 150℃, autoclavable
Routine room temperature operationsPC / PMPHigh clarity, impact resistant
Sterile operationsPMPAutoclavable at 121℃
High impact resistance requiredPCExcellent impact resistance

II. By Capacity

  • 25ml / 30ml / 50ml: Micro experiments, small volume mixing
  • 100ml / 150ml / 200ml: Routine experiments (most common)
  • 250ml / 300ml / 400ml: Medium volume experiments, solution preparation
  • 500ml / 600ml / 1000ml: Large volume experiments, bulk preparation

💡 Selection Tip: 100ml or 150ml plastic beaker is the most commonly used size.
For heating or high-temperature operations, choose PMP material.
For impact resistance, choose PC material.
For routine operations, PC offers better cost-effectiveness.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Below are standard operating guidelines for plastic beakers. Proper use ensures experimental safety and product longevity.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect for cracks or deformation
  • Rinse with distilled or deionized water and air dry
  • Confirm material compatibility with the liquid
  • For sterile applications, autoclave PMP beakers before use (121℃)
04

II. Operation Guidelines

  1. Pour liquid slowly along the inner wall
  2. Use a stirring rod carefully to avoid scratching the inner surface
  3. Pour through the spout to minimize spillage
  4. Heat on a hot plate — never use direct flame
  5. Do not fill beyond 2/3 capacity when heating
  6. Clean and air dry immediately after use
05

III. Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean promptly after use and air dry
  • Stubborn residues: use mild neutral detergent, rinse with distilled water
  • Never use hard brushes or abrasives on the inner wall
  • Do not store corrosive reagents long-term
  • Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "Spout outward for drip-free pouring" — When pouring, orient the spout outward to prevent liquid from running down the outer wall.
"PMP for heating, PC for routine" — Use PMP for heating applications, PC for routine use.
"Avoid thermal shock" — Although plastic beakers are heat-resistant, sudden temperature changes may cause deformation or cracking.
"Graduations are estimates" — Beaker graduations are approximate — use graduated cylinders or volumetric flasks for precise measurement.

⚠️ Safety & Compliance Checklist

Safety

When heating or handling corrosive liquids, wear protective gloves and safety goggles

Temperature Limit

PC ≤ 120℃, PMP ≤ 150℃

No Direct Flame

Plastic beakers should not be heated directly over an open flame

Chemical Compatibility

PMP/PC have limited tolerance to strong organic solvents — verify before use
