Product Description

I. Overview

The plastic volumetric flask is an essential tool for standard solution preparation and precise dilution in quantitative analysis. Manufactured from high-clarity polymethylpentene (PMP) through precision injection molding, featuring high clarity, smooth surface, and a clear graduation mark.

Available in 10ml, 25ml, 50ml, 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1000ml, and 2000ml sizes. High accuracy meets quantitative analysis requirements. Equipped with a GL standard screw cap for leak-proof sealing, preventing solution evaporation and contamination.

Compared to glass volumetric flasks, plastic flasks are shatterproof and safer to use, and autoclavable. Suitable for pharmaceutical, food, environmental monitoring, research, and teaching applications.

🔬 Product Advantages:
High-Clarity PMP Material — Clear meniscus viewing for accurate volume adjustment
High Accuracy — Meets quantitative analysis standards
GL Screw Cap — Leak-proof sealing to prevent evaporation and contamination
Autoclavable — 121℃ sterilization for aseptic operations

Selection Guide

I. By Capacity

ApplicationRecommended CapacityReason
Micro standards, micro analysis10ml / 25mlSmall volume, ideal for precious samples
Routine standard solution preparation50ml / 100mlMost commonly used sizes
Routine analysis, dilution250ml / 500mlMedium volume, versatile
Bulk solution preparation1000ml / 2000mlLarge volume for batch preparation

II. By Application

  • 10ml ~ 25ml: Micro analysis, standards, precious samples
  • 50ml ~ 100ml: Routine standard solutions, titration (most common)
  • 250ml ~ 500ml: Routine analysis, dilution, batch preparation
  • 1000ml ~ 2000ml: Bulk preparation, stock solutions

💡 Selection Tip: 100ml volumetric flask is the most commonly used size.
For micro analysis, choose 10ml or 25ml.
For bulk preparation, choose 1000ml or 2000ml.
Plastic flasks are suitable for routine aqueous solutions — strong organic solvents should use glass flasks.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Below are standard operating guidelines for plastic volumetric flasks. Proper use ensures volume accuracy and product longevity.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect for cracks, deformation, and cap seal integrity
  • Rinse with distilled or deionized water and air dry
  • Confirm material compatibility with the solution
  • For sterile applications, autoclave before use (121℃)
04

II. Volume Adjustment Operation

  1. Add the solute to the flask
  2. Add partial solvent, shake to dissolve completely
  3. Continue adding solvent until close to the mark
  4. Use a dropper to slowly add solvent to the mark
  5. Read with eye level aligned with the mark, meniscus tangent to the mark
  6. Secure the cap and invert repeatedly to mix
05

III. Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean promptly after use and air dry
  • Stubborn residues: use mild neutral detergent, rinse with distilled water
  • Never use hard brushes or abrasives on the inner wall
  • Do not store corrosive reagents long-term
  • Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "Read at eye level, meniscus tangent to the mark" — Align eye level with the mark for accuracy.
"Dissolve before adjusting volume" — Dissolve the solute before adjusting to the mark to avoid volume error.
"Invert to mix, release bubbles" — After adjusting, invert repeatedly to ensure uniform solution.
"Do not heat the flask" — Volumetric flasks should never be heated — cool to room temperature before adjusting volume.
