Product Description

I. Overview

The Pasteur pipette bulb is a rubber accessory specifically designed for Pasteur pipettes. Manufactured from high-quality natural rubber (NR) or silicone rubber (VMQ) via precision compression molding, compatible with 5~8mm ID Pasteur pipettes.

Ideal for micro-liquid transfer and cell operations. VMQ offers excellent biocompatibility for biological experiments — a common tool in cell biology, microbiology, and fine chemistry.

🔬 Product Advantages:
For Pasteur Pipettes — Perfect fit for 5~8mm ID
Two Materials — NR/VMQ for different applications
Micro-Operations — Ideal for fine liquid transfer and cell work
Biocompatible — VMQ suitable for biological experiments
Easy to Use — Ready to install, no special tools

II. Key Performance Parameters

  • Material: NR / VMQ
  • For ID: 5~8mm
  • Capacity Range: 1~3ml
  • Temperature Range: -30~80°C (NR) / -60~200°C (VMQ)
  • Applications: Micro-liquid transfer, cell operations, fine experiments

III. Material & Manufacturing

Manufactured from high-quality natural rubber (NR) as the standard option, with silicone rubber (VMQ) available upon request. Produced via precision compression molding with uniform wall thickness and smooth surfaces.

VMQ offers a wider temperature range (-60~200°C) and excellent biocompatibility, particularly suitable for cell biology and biopharmaceutical applications.

Selection Guide

I. Select by Material

MaterialPropertiesApplications
NRGood elasticity, economicalGeneral micro-operations, teaching
VMQBiocompatible, -60~200°CCell work, biopharma, fine operations

II. Select by ID

  • 5~6mm: Fine Pasteur pipettes for micro-operations
  • 6~7mm: Standard Pasteur pipettes (most common)
  • 7~8mm: Larger Pasteur pipettes for bigger volumes

💡 Selection Tips: General micro-operations choose 6~7mm NR bulbs.
Cell work/Biological experiments choose VMQ.
Ensure the bulb ID closely matches the Pasteur pipette OD.
Consider all three IDs for different Pasteur pipette sizes.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

03

I. Installation

  1. Select a bulb matching your Pasteur pipette ID
  2. Gently expand the bulb opening
  3. Insert the Pasteur pipette top into the bulb
  4. Rotate gently to achieve a tight fit
04

II. Usage

  1. Insert the pipette into the liquid to be transferred
  2. Compress the bulb to expel air
  3. Release the bulb to aspirate liquid
  4. Move to target and compress to dispense

💡 Tips from Experienced Technicians: "Match the size" — Bulb ID should be slightly smaller than pipette OD.
"Avoid overstretching" — Don't overstretch the bulb during installation.
"Cell work choose VMQ" — Cell experiments prioritize silicone (VMQ).
"Replace regularly" — Replace bulbs every 6~12 months as elasticity decreases.
