Product Description
1. Overview
A wash bottle is a squeeze container that delivers rinse liquid through a nozzle to clean the inside of glassware, rims and dead spots. It is one of the most used aids for cleaning glassware, pre-rinsing before making to volume, and adding solvent dropwise.
The angled nozzle points at an angle so the flow can be directed precisely at flask necks, tube bases and pipette bores, which also uses less rinse liquid. The body is usually LDPE, resistant to acids and alkalis and elastic enough to spring back after each squeeze without deforming in continuous use.
Selection comes down to capacity and contents. A 500 mL bottle suits routine rinsing; ethanol and detergent are best kept in separate, labelled bottles to avoid carry-over. The screw cap seals well and will not leak when inverted, so bottles can be stored upright together.
🔬 Types & Features:
Controlled flow — the angled nozzle reaches dead spots precisely.
Resistant body — LDPE suits water and routine detergents.
Smooth rebound — springs back for fatigue-free continuous use.
Dedicated and labelled — separate bottles avoid mix-ups.
2. Key Parameters
- Material: LDPE body, PP cap
- Capacity: 250 / 500 / 1000 mL
- Nozzle: angled and removable
- Resistance: acids, alkalis and routine detergents
- Seal: screw cap, no leak when inverted
- Use: rinsing with water, ethanol or detergent
3. Material & Workmanship
The body is LDPE, flexible, resistant to acids and alkalis and good at rebounding; the cap and nozzle are PP, resistant to chemical attack. The angled nozzle can be removed for cleaning so crystals or sediment cannot block it.
Handling tip: keep different liquids in separate labelled bottles to avoid mix-ups, and cap volatile solvents such as ethanol promptly after use to limit evaporation.
