Product Description

I. Overview

The plastic reagent bottle (narrow mouth) is the primary container for liquid reagent storage in the laboratory. Manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) through precision blow molding, offering excellent chemical resistance, lightweight shatterproof construction, and reliable sealing performance.

The narrow mouth design is the key difference from wide mouth bottles, with neck diameters of 21mm or 30mm (depending on capacity), facilitating precise liquid pouring and dispensing with controlled flow to minimize spills and evaporation. Equipped with a leak-proof sealing cap to ensure sample safety during storage and transport.

Available in a complete range from 10ml micro to 2000ml bulk sizes, ideal for routine storage of liquid reagents, standard solutions, solvents — the preferred choice for liquid sample management in the laboratory.

🔬 Narrow vs Wide Mouth:
Narrow Mouth Bottle — Smaller neck diameter (21mm or 30mm), facilitates precise liquid pouring and dispensing — ideal for liquid reagents.
Wide Mouth Bottle — Larger neck diameter, facilitates powder dispensing, spatula sampling and weighing — ideal for solid reagents and powder samples. Same HDPE material — choose based on material form.

II. Core Performance Parameters

  • Material: High-density polyethylene (HDPE)
  • Process: Precision blow molding, uniform wall thickness
  • Mouth Design: Narrow mouth (21mm or 30mm neck diameter)
  • Sealing: Leak-proof cap (GL standard thread)
  • Temperature Range: -20℃ ~ 120℃
  • Chemical Compatibility: Dilute acids (≤10%), dilute alkalis (≤10%), salt solutions, most organic solvents
  • Sterilization: Not autoclavable (EtO or γ radiation recommended)

III. Material & Workmanship

Manufactured from imported food-grade HDPE resin through precision blow molding. Uniform wall thickness with narrow mouth design ensuring smooth pouring and perfect cap fit. Thread precision conforms to GL standards for perfect cap compatibility.

All products are assembled and packaged in cleanroom environments to ensure contamination-free surfaces.

Selection Guide

I. By Material Form

Material FormRecommended TypeReason
Liquid reagentsNarrow Mouth BottlePrecise pouring and flow control
Solid powder/crystalsWide Mouth BottleEasy spatula access
Viscous liquidsNarrow Mouth BottleControlled pouring speed
Volatile solventsNarrow Mouth BottleSmaller opening reduces evaporation

II. By Capacity

  • 10ml / 20ml / 30ml: Micro samples, standards, valuable reagents
  • 50ml / 60ml / 100ml: Routine small-volume reagents, standard solutions
  • 250ml / 500ml: Routine liquid reagents (most common)
  • 1000ml: Bulk stock, mobile phases
  • 2000ml: Large quantity liquid materials, bulk stock

💡 Selection Tip: 500ml narrow mouth bottle is the most commonly used size for routine liquid reagent storage.
For light-sensitive liquid samples, choose amber narrow mouth bottles.
For highly corrosive liquids, choose PFA narrow mouth bottles.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Below are standard operating guidelines for plastic reagent bottles (narrow mouth). Proper use ensures reagent safety and product longevity.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect for cracks, deformation, and cap integrity
  • Rinse with distilled or deionized water and air dry
  • Confirm material compatibility with the reagent
04

II. Storage Operation

  1. Pour the liquid slowly along the bottle wall
  2. Narrow mouth allows precise control of pouring flow
  3. Liquid level should not exceed the shoulder, leaving expansion space
  4. Align the cap with the thread and tighten clockwise to seal
  5. Apply label to the bottle body with reagent name, concentration, preparation date
  6. Store according to reagent requirements (ambient/refrigerated/dark)
05

III. Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Rinse promptly after use and air dry
  • Stubborn residues: use mild neutral detergent, rinse with distilled water
  • Never use hard brushes or abrasives on the inner wall
  • Do not store corrosive reagents long-term
  • Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "Narrow for liquids, wide for solids" — Narrow mouth bottles are designed for liquids, offering precise pouring with minimal splashing.
"Label the body, not the cap" — Labels belong on the bottle body, not the cap — caps may be swapped or lost.
"Seal to prevent evaporation" — For volatile solvents, seal immediately after use to minimize evaporation and contamination.
