Product Description

I. Overview

Silicone tubing is one of the most versatile flexible tubing products in laboratories. Manufactured from high-quality silicone rubber (VMQ), it offers excellent temperature resistance (-60~250°C), good flexibility, and rebound resilience. The translucent design allows easy observation of fluid flow.

Available in ID 1~20mm with wall thickness 1.5~4mm, suitable for peristaltic pumps, condenser connections, gas transfer, and food-grade applications. Non-toxic and odorless, meeting food-grade and medical-grade requirements.

🔬 Product Advantages:
Wide Temperature Range — -60~250°C for various environments
Translucent Design — Easy observation of fluid flow
Good Flexibility — Excellent bending performance
Non-Toxic — Food-grade and medical-grade compliant
Multiple Sizes — ID 1~20mm full coverage

II. Key Performance Parameters

  • Material: Silicone (VMQ)
  • ID Range: 1~20mm
  • Wall Thickness: 1.5~4mm
  • Temperature Range: -60°C ~ 250°C
  • Hardness: 60~70 Shore A
  • Features: Translucent, non-toxic, flexible

III. Material & Manufacturing

Manufactured from high-quality silicone rubber (VMQ) via extrusion molding. Features uniform wall thickness, smooth surface, and no bubbles or impurities. Translucent design allows easy observation of fluid flow.

Silicone rubber offers excellent weather resistance and chemical stability, maintaining good elasticity and flexibility across a wide temperature range.

Selection Guide

I. Select by ID

ID RangeApplications
1~4mmMicro-fluid transfer, chromatography, fine tubing
5~10mmGeneral liquid transfer, condensers, peristaltic pumps
12~20mmHigh-flow liquid, gas lines, drainage

💡 Selection Tips: Peristaltic pumps choose ID 4~10mm, wall 2.5~3mm.
Condenser connections choose ID 6~10mm.
Gas transfer choose ID 8~15mm for adequate flow.
Food-grade confirm food-grade silicone material.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

03

I. Preparation

  • Inspect tubing for any visible damage or deformation
  • Confirm temperature and chemical compatibility
  • Autoclavable at 121°C if sterile conditions are required
04

II. Installation

  1. Cut tubing to required length
  2. Moisten the tube end for easier fitting
  3. Slide onto the connector securely
  4. Test for leaks before use

💡 Tips from Experienced Technicians: "Lubricate tube ends" — Moisten with water or glycerin for easier installation.
"Avoid sharp bends" — Maintain ≥2x tube diameter bend radius.
"Replace regularly" — Peristaltic pump tubing should be replaced every 100~200 hours.
"Check chemical compatibility" — Silicone is not compatible with strong acids, bases, or solvents.
