Product Description
1. Overview
A burette clamp is the dedicated holder for titration work. It fixes the burette vertically on the stand so reading the meniscus does not depend on a steady hand, making it a small part that decides how repeatable the readings are.
Jaws come in spring and screw types. Spring jaws open and close one-handed for quick changes; screw jaws let the gripping force be set and stay firm in long static runs. The inside of the jaw is lined with silicone or rubber, which adds friction so the burette cannot slide and keeps metal away from the glass.
The head swivels and tilts on the stem so the burette can be brought truly vertical with the stand. Selection comes down to matching the jaw range to the burette outer diameter, and the stem bore to the retort stand rod.
🔬 Types & Features:
Two positions — hold two burettes at once for comparison work.
Spring jaws — one-handed opening for quick changes.
Screw jaws — settable grip that stays firm when static.
Silicone sleeves — grip firmly and protect graduations from scratches.
2. Key Parameters
- Design: two-position holder
- Jaw opening: 8 to 25 mm depending on model
- Gripping: spring type or screw type
- Sleeve: silicone or rubber
- Stem bore: about 10 to 12 mm, fits retort stand rods
- Applications: holding burettes and setting verticality
3. Material & Workmanship
The body is machined or cast from metal and finished by chrome plating or coating to resist rust. Jaw sleeves are moulded from silicone or oil-resistant rubber, staying elastic without hardening or cracking.
Handling tip: clamp the straight section above the graduations, away from the scale and the stopcock, and check the jaw is locked before every titration.
