Product Description

I. Overview

The PTFE magnetic stirrer features a high-purity PTFE coating over a neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) permanent magnet core. PTFE's extremely low surface tension and chemical inertness ensure the stirrer remains stable in aggressive media including strong acids, alkalis, and organic solvents — without contaminating samples or adsorbing substances.

The NdFeB magnet core delivers strong and stable magnetic force, maintaining good coupling even at high rotation speeds. Available in Standard (-200℃~110℃) and High-Temperature (-200℃~350℃) grades to meet diverse needs from low-temperature reactions to high-temperature synthesis.

Available in 9 types — A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and ZL — with sizes ranging from 3×6mm micro-stirrers to 35×115mm large stirrers for all laboratory container types.

II. Core Performance Parameters

  • Coating Material: High-purity PTFE, purity > 99.9%
  • Magnet Core: NdFeB, Br ≥ 1.2T
  • Standard Temperature: -200℃ ~ +110℃
  • High Temperature: -200℃ ~ +350℃ (special magnet treatment)
  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to HF, aqua regia, concentrated H₂SO₄, HNO₃, strong alkalis, organic solvents
  • Surface Properties: Non-stick, low friction, easy to clean
  • Magnet Strength: Standard / High-strength (5000~8000GS) optional

III. Material & Workmanship

Manufactured using imported high-purity PTFE resin with precision molding/coating processes that fully encapsulate the NdFeB magnet core — ensuring no metal contact with media and zero metal ion contamination risk.

High-temperature stirrers use specially treated magnet materials with specialized sintering processes for reliable long-term operation at 350℃, suitable for demanding high-temperature synthesis and molten reactions.

All products are manufactured and packaged in cleanroom environments to ensure particle-free, organic-free surfaces. Each stirrer undergoes magnetic strength testing and visual inspection.

💡 Selection Tip: Stirrer length should be 50%~70% of the container bottom diameter. Stirrer diameter should be less than 1/3 of the container opening. For high-viscosity, choose Type D or E with high-strength magnet option.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Standard operating guidelines for PTFE magnetic stirrers.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect PTFE coating for integrity — no cracks, damage, or wear
  • Clean with ultrapure water or appropriate solvent
  • Confirm stirrer size fits container (50%~70% of bottom diameter)
  • Verify magnetic stirrer is operational
04

II. Placement & Start-up

  1. Place stirrer into container using clean tweezers or tool
  2. Center container on the magnetic stirrer — align stirrer with magnet rotor
  3. Start slowly at low speed (100~200rpm), gradually increase to target speed
  4. Observe for smooth rotation — no jumping or decoupling
05

III. Operation

  • Recommended speed: 100~1500rpm — adjust based on viscosity and container size
  • Avoid running dry — never operate without liquid
  • Stop immediately if abnormal noise or vibration occurs
  • Monitor liquid temperature during extended operation
06

IV. Removal & Cleaning

  • Stop the stirrer and allow it to come to a complete stop before removal
  • Use a retriever to remove the stirrer from the container
  • Clean with ultrapure water or appropriate solvent — PTFE's non-stick surface makes cleaning easy
  • Stubborn residues may be soaked in dilute nitric acid
  • Air dry or wipe dry — store in a clean, dry location

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "Slow start, smooth acceleration" — always start at low speed and allow the stirrer to follow before speeding up. Sudden high-speed starts can cause decoupling and damage.
If decoupling occurs, stop immediately, reposition, and restart slowly.
Use a retriever to remove stirrers from containers — never pour out or use bare hands.
