Product Description

I. Overview

The PTFE reagent bottle is manufactured from high-purity PTFE resin through cold pressing and high-temperature sintering. PTFE offers exceptional chemical resistance and is inert to almost all chemicals and solvents, making it ideal for storing strong acids (including hydrofluoric acid), strong alkalis, aqua regia, and various organic solvents.

The bottle features a professional leak-proof design that provides reliable sealing without the need for an inner cap or liner. Wide-mouth bottles are suitable for solid powders and viscous liquids; narrow-mouth bottles are ideal for liquid dispensing and pouring, reducing evaporation and spillage risks.

Available in sizes from 30ml to 10000ml, widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor, environmental testing, and food analysis industries.

II. Core Performance Parameters

  • Purity: High-purity PTFE with ultra-low metal leaching (Pb, U < 0.01ppb)
  • Operating Temperature: -196℃ ~ 260℃, short-term up to 300℃
  • Chemical Resistance: Resistant to HF, aqua regia, concentrated H₂SO₄, HNO₃, strong alkalis, and organic solvents
  • Surface Properties: Non-stick, low friction coefficient, easy to clean
  • Sealing Performance: Professional leak-proof design, reliable sealing without inner cap

III. Material & Workmanship

Manufactured from imported high-purity PTFE resin, precision cold-pressed in molds, and sintered in high-temperature furnaces — ensuring dense structure, smooth surface, and bubble-free finish. The cap and body are made from the same PTFE material for complete chemical compatibility.

All products are assembled and packaged in cleanroom environments to ensure contamination-free surfaces.

II. By Capacity

  • 30ml ~ 100ml: Micro reagents, standard solutions, precious samples
  • 250ml ~ 500ml: Routine laboratory reagent storage
  • 1000ml ~ 2000ml: Large volume reagents, mobile phases
  • 5000ml ~ 10000ml: Bulk reagents, industrial-scale storage

III. By Purity Requirement

  • Trace Analysis (ICP-MS, ICP-OES): PFA recommended — ultra-low metal leaching, translucent for easy level viewing
  • Routine Analysis (HPLC, GC): PTFE is sufficient
  • Semiconductor Ultra-pure Chemicals: PFA or high-purity PTFE recommended

💡 Selection Tip: When in doubt about the storage medium, PTFE is the safest choice — it is inert to almost all chemicals. For level viewing, choose PFA (translucent) or use a level indicator. Large capacity bottles with handles or carrying features are recommended for easier handling.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Standard operating guidelines for PTFE reagent bottles. Proper use and maintenance significantly extend product life and ensure laboratory safety.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect the bottle for cracks, deformations, and ensure the cap seal is intact
  • Clean the bottle inside and out with ultrapure water or appropriate solvent to remove manufacturing residues
  • For trace analysis applications, soak in 10% nitric acid for 24 hours, rinse thoroughly with ultrapure water, and dry
04

II. Filling Operation

  1. Place the bottle on a stable surface. Wide-mouth bottles can be filled with powder using a scoop or funnel
  2. Liquids can be added via funnel or direct pouring — use a glass rod to guide the flow and prevent splashing
  3. Fill volume should not exceed 90% of capacity to allow for expansion
  4. After filling, tighten the cap to seal. PTFE has self-lubricating properties — no need to over-tighten
05

III. Storage Conditions

  • Room Temperature Storage: Recommended 15℃ ~ 30℃, away from direct light
  • Low Temperature Storage: PTFE withstands -196℃ — suitable for liquid nitrogen sample storage
  • High Temperature Storage: Long-term storage ≤ 260℃, short-term ≤ 300℃
  • Ventilation: Volatile organic solvents should be stored in fume hoods or well-ventilated areas
06

IV. Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Routine Cleaning: Clean promptly after use with laboratory detergent and a soft cloth or sponge
  • Stubborn Residues: Soak in dilute nitric acid — PTFE's non-stick surface makes cleaning easy
  • Sterilization: Autoclave (121℃, 15-20min) or dry heat sterilization (160℃, 2h)
  • Important: Do not use hard brushes or abrasives — they may scratch the inner wall, affecting sealing and cleanability
06

V. Disposal

  • Discard used PTFE reagent bottles according to laboratory waste management regulations
  • PTFE is not combustible — avoid incineration
  • After emptying chemical residues, recycle as plastic waste

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "A reagent bottle is not a universal container" — Always verify chemical compatibility before filling. PTFE is inert to most chemicals but NOT compatible with molten alkali metals (e.g., Na, K) and elemental fluorine.
For light-sensitive reagents, choose amber bottles or external light-shielding packaging.
The cap seal is a consumable — replace if sealing performance degrades.

⚠️ Safety & Compliance Checklist

Chemical Safety

Verify compatibility of storage medium with PTFE before filling

Labeling Requirements

All reagent bottles must be clearly labeled with chemical name, concentration, preparation date, and safety information

Do not
  • Pressure Safety: Do not over-tighten caps when storing volatile solvents — internal pressure may build up
  • Handling Safety: For large bottles (> 2000ml), use carrying handles or carts — avoid carrying by hand
