Product Description

The standard joint flat-bottom flask is a classic reaction vessel widely used in chemical synthesis, distillation, and storage. The flat bottom design allows direct placement on benchtops without additional stands, enhancing convenience and stability. The standard 1:10 taper ground glass joint enables leak-free connections with all matching standard joint accessories. The flat bottom also provides excellent stability for magnetic stirring, ensuring smooth stir bar operation during heated reactions.

Key Features

  • Borosilicate Glass 3.3: ISO 3585 compliant, low expansion, thermal shock 280°C
  • Flat-Bottom Design: Direct benchtop placement, no stand required
  • Standard Joint: 1:10 taper, precision ground for reliable sealing
  • Multiple Sizes: Available in 14#, 19#, 24#, 29# joint sizes
  • High Transparency: Easy observation of reactions
  • Chemical Resistant: Suitable for most organic solvents
  • Magnetic Stirring Compatible: Flat bottom ensures smooth stir bar operation

Quality Assurance

Every flask undergoes strict dimensional inspection, joint taper testing, and thermal resistance testing to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Note: Ensure joints are clean and dry before use to prevent sticking. Use heating mantles or water baths for uniform heating. The flat bottom allows direct placement on benchtops for storage.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

03

Preparation

  • Inspect flask for cracks, chips, or scratched joints
  • Clean joint surfaces with a soft cloth or cotton swab
  • Apply a small amount of vacuum grease if joints are too tight (avoid sample contamination)
04

Heating

  • Use heating mantles or water baths for uniform heating
  • Fill no more than 2/3 capacity to prevent boiling over
  • Always heat gradually, avoid sudden temperature changes
  • Select appropriate stir bar size for magnetic stirring
05

Assembly & Disassembly

  • Insert with gentle twisting motion, do not force
  • Remove by gently twisting, avoid pulling straight out
  • For stuck joints, try heating the outer wall with a hairdryer
06

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean immediately after use to prevent residue buildup
  • Wash joints with soft brush and detergent, avoid hard objects
  • Air dry after washing, store with soft paper between joints
