Product Description

The standard joint round-bottom flask is a versatile reaction vessel widely used in organic synthesis, distillation, reflux, and extraction. The round-bottom design ensures uniform heating and compatibility with heating mantles, oil baths, and water baths. The standard 1:10 taper ground glass joint enables leak-free connections with all matching standard joint accessories.

Key Features

  • Borosilicate Glass 3.3: ISO 3585 compliant, low expansion, thermal shock 280°C
  • Standard Joint: 1:10 taper, precision ground for reliable sealing
  • Short Neck Design: Minimizes dead volume, easy connection
  • Multiple Sizes: Available in 14#, 19#, 24#, 29# joint sizes
  • High Transparency: Easy observation of reactions
  • Chemical Resistant: Suitable for most organic solvents

Quality Assurance

Every flask undergoes strict dimensional inspection, joint taper testing, and thermal resistance testing to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Note: Ensure joints are clean and dry before use to prevent sticking. Use a heating mantle or wire gauze for uniform heating.

Applications

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

03

Preparation

  • Inspect flask for cracks, chips, or scratched joints
  • Clean joint surfaces with a soft cloth or cotton swab
  • Apply a small amount of vacuum grease if joints are too tight (avoid sample contamination)
04

Heating

  • Use heating mantles or oil baths for uniform heating
  • Fill no more than 2/3 capacity to prevent boiling over
  • Always heat gradually, avoid sudden temperature changes
05

Assembly & Disassembly

  • Insert with gentle twisting motion, do not force
  • Remove by gently twisting, avoid pulling straight out
  • For stuck joints, try heating the outer wall with a hairdryer
06

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean immediately after use to prevent residue buildup
  • Wash joints with soft brush and detergent, avoid hard objects
  • Air dry after washing, store with soft paper between joints
