Product Description
Test tubes are among the most basic and widely used glassware items in laboratories,
suitable for small-scale reactions, heating, mixing, and temporary storage.
Their simple and practical design makes them essential equipment in chemistry,
biology, and medical teaching laboratories.
Three Series · Flexible Selection
RichTech offers test tubes in plain rim,
flared rim (rimmed), and stoppered series:
1. Plain Rim Test Tubes
- Features a smooth, flat rim suitable for sealing with rubber or cork stoppers.
- Ideal for experiments requiring sealed storage or contamination prevention.
2. Flared Rim Test Tubes (Rimmed)
- Features an outwardly flared rim that facilitates hanging storage and drip-drying.
- Provides better grip for test tube clamps, reducing the risk of slipping.
- Particularly useful for drying after washing.
3. Stoppered Test Tubes
- Equipped with rubber stoppers, cork stoppers,
or ground glass stoppers to prevent evaporation and contamination.
- Rubber Stoppers: Flexible, strong sealing, drillable — suitable for
inserting glass tubes, thermometers, or sensors.
- Cork Stoppers: Natural material, economical — suitable for
routine sealing, plant culture, and sample storage.
- Ground Glass Stoppers: Precision fit, chemically resistant —
suitable for volatile reagents, organic solvents, and high-demand sealing.
- Secure shaking and mixing without leakage.
Material Advantage
Manufactured from Borosilicate Glass 3.3 in accordance with ISO 3585 standards.
The ultra-low coefficient of thermal expansion (3.3×10⁻⁶/K) ensures resistance
to thermal shock up to 280°C.
Design Features
Uniform wall thickness and rounded bottoms facilitate liquid pouring and cleaning.
The rim is finely finished with smooth edges for safe handling. Stoppered tubes
come with corresponding stoppers for excellent sealing performance.
Note: Always use a test tube clamp when heating — never hold
test tubes directly by hand. Remove stoppers before heating stoppered test tubes
to prevent pressure buildup. When heating liquids, point the tube opening
away from yourself and others to prevent injury from splashing.
