Product Description

I. Overview

Lens paper is an essential consumable for precision cleaning in laboratories and optical industries. Manufactured from high-quality wood pulp fiber using hydro-entanglement and through-air drying processes, producing soft, fluffy paper that is lint-free and non-scratching.

Specifically designed for cleaning microscope objectives/eyepieces, camera lenses, optical components, medical devices, and optical system surfaces. The paper's high absorbency and softness effectively remove dust, oil, and fingerprints without damaging optical coatings.

🔬 Core Value of Lens Paper:
Protect Optics: Soft and lint-free, will not scratch lens surfaces or damage optical coatings.
Effective Cleaning: High absorbency, compatible with cleaning solvents for oil and fingerprint removal.
No Residue: Lint-free and non-dusting, preventing fiber residue that affects image quality.
Cost-effective: Single-use, avoids cross-contamination, reduces cleaning costs.

II. Core Performance Parameters

  • Material: 100% High-quality wood pulp fiber
  • Process: Hydro-entanglement + Through-air drying
  • Surface: Soft, fluffy, lint-free, dust-free
  • Absorbency: High (≥ 5x own weight water absorption)
  • Tensile Strength: High (wet strength ≥ 30% of dry strength)
  • pH: Neutral (6.5-7.5)
  • Optical Brighteners: None
  • Solvent Compatibility: Water, alcohol, acetone, ether, and common cleaning solvents

III. Material & Workmanship

Manufactured from imported high-quality wood pulp using hydro-entanglement for fluffy fiber structure, then stabilized with through-air drying technology for softness and physical strength. Contains no optical brighteners or silicone oil to prevent secondary contamination of optical devices.

All products are cut and packaged in cleanroom environments to prevent secondary contamination.

Selection Guide

I. By Application

ApplicationRecommended SizeTypical Equipment
Microscope cleaning100 × 150mmBiological/stereo microscope eyepieces, objectives
Camera lens cleaning100 × 150mmDSLR, video camera lenses
Optical component cleaning150 × 200mmOptical windows, prisms, filters
Medical device cleaning100 × 150mmEndoscopes, surgical microscopes
Large optics200 × 300mmLarge lenses, display panels

II. By Cleaning Requirement

  • Routine dust removal: Use dry lens paper, gentle wiping
  • Oil/fingerprint removal: Use with anhydrous ethanol or lens cleaning solution
  • Coated optics: Use microfiber-type lens paper (custom order)
  • Cleanroom environments: Use cleanroom-grade lens paper (custom order)

III. Lens Paper vs Regular Tissue

ComparisonLens PaperRegular Tissue
Lint/dust✅ Lint-free, dust-free❌ Easy to shed fibers
Scratch risk✅ Soft, non-scratching❌ May scratch surfaces
Absorbency✅ High absorbency⚠️ Moderate absorbency
Chemical compatibility✅ Compatible with alcohol, acetone❌ May dissolve and leave residue

💡 Selection Tip: 100 × 150mm is the most common size for microscope and camera lens cleaning.
For larger optics, use 150 × 200mm or 200 × 300mm.
Important: Regular tissues and cotton cloth must never be used on lenses — their fibers and hard particles will scratch the surface and coatings.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Below are standard operating guidelines for lens paper. Proper use ensures optimal cleaning results and protects optical devices.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect packaging integrity and paper surface for stains or damage
  • Wash hands or wear cleanroom gloves to avoid oil contamination
  • Prepare cleaning solvent (e.g., anhydrous ethanol, lens cleaning solution)
  • Never use regular tissue, cotton cloth, or clothing to clean lenses
04

Dry Cleaning (for light dust)

  1. Take a clean sheet of lens paper
  2. Starting from the center, wipe spiraling outward with gentle pressure
  3. Or use unidirectional wiping: wipe from one end to the other, do not wipe back and forth
  4. Discard after use — do not reuse
05

Wet Cleaning (for oil, fingerprints)

  1. Take a clean sheet of lens paper and apply 1-2 drops of cleaning solvent
  2. Starting from the center, wipe spiraling outward with gentle pressure
  3. Before the solvent dries, use a dry lens paper to gently absorb
  4. Check cleaning results and repeat if necessary
06

III. Important Notes

  • Lens paper is single-use only — do not reuse
  • Do not use the same sheet for different lenses (prevents cross-contamination)
  • Do not press hard on lenses — may damage optical components
  • Store in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture absorption
  • Dispose according to laboratory waste regulations after use

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "Spiral out, ring by ring" — Starting from the center, wipe in expanding spirals to push dirt toward the edge rather than circulating it on the surface.
"Wet then dry, clean and bright" — For oil and fingerprints, first use moistened lens paper to dissolve, then dry lens paper to absorb, preventing water spots.
"One direction only" — Back-and-forth wiping increases scratch risk by rubbing hard particles across the surface. Always use unidirectional or spiral motion.
"Just 1-2 drops" — Use only 1-2 drops of solvent; excess may seep into the lens assembly.

⚠️ Safety & Compliance Checklist

Solvent Safety

When using alcohol, acetone, or other organic solvents, operate in a fume hood away from open flames

Waste Disposal

Dispose of used lens paper according to laboratory waste classification regulations

Do not
  • Lens Safety: Coated lenses are extremely delicate — wipe gently to avoid scratches
