Product Description

I. Overview

Weighing paper is the most essential weighing auxiliary consumable in the laboratory. Manufactured from virgin wood pulp or cotton pulp through kraft pulping and supercalendering, producing double-sided smooth parchment paper with uniform texture. The paper has a uniform milky white color, fine and smooth surface, odorless, lint-free, and free of optical brighteners.

Specifically designed for analytical balance weighing, effectively preventing powders and solids from directly contacting the balance pan, protecting precision equipment while ensuring accurate weighing results. The low hygroscopicity and chemical inertness of weighing paper make it suitable for most routine laboratory weighing operations.

🔬 Core Value of Weighing Paper:
Protect the Balance: Prevents direct sample contact with the pan, avoiding corrosion, contamination, and wear.
Ensure Accuracy: Lint-free and non-hygroscopic, does not affect weighing precision.
Improve Efficiency: Sample can be transferred together with the paper, no secondary transfer required.
Easy Cleaning: Single-use, discard after use, avoids cross-contamination.

II. Core Performance Parameters

  • Material: 100% Virgin Wood Pulp / Cotton Pulp Parchment
  • Surface Treatment: Double-sided smooth (supercalendered)
  • Color: Milky white (uniform)
  • Basis Weight: 80 g/m² (standard grade)
  • Thickness: 0.08-0.10mm
  • Surface: Smooth, lint-free, no optical brighteners
  • Hygroscopicity: Low (≤ 5% equilibrium moisture)
  • Anti-static: Optional (surface resistance 10⁶-10⁹ Ω)
  • Oil Resistance: Good (parchment paper property)
  • Operating Temperature: -10℃ ~ 80℃

III. Material & Workmanship

Manufactured from imported virgin wood pulp or high-quality cotton pulp through kraft cooking to remove lignin, followed by bleaching, washing, beating, papermaking, and supercalendering. Supercalendering provides double-sided smooth surface properties, reducing powder adhesion and static attraction.

All products are cut and packaged in cleanroom environments to prevent secondary contamination. Each batch undergoes lint testing and static testing for quality assurance.

Selection Guide

I. By Sample Amount

Sample AmountRecommended SizeTypical Use
< 5g75 × 75mmMicro samples, valuable materials
5-20g100 × 100mmRoutine weighing (most common)
20-50g120 × 120mmMedium samples
50-100g150 × 150mmLarge samples
> 100g200 × 200mmExtra large samples
Very large300 × 300mmSpecial large samples

II. By Sample Characteristics

  • General powders/solids: Standard weighing paper
  • Static-prone samples (plastic powders, dry powders): Anti-static type recommended
  • Oily samples: Parchment paper has good oil resistance, directly usable
  • Micro/valuable samples: Small size (75×75mm) for easy transfer
  • Cleanroom weighing: Anti-static + clean packaging recommended

III. Anti-static Weighing Paper Applications

  • Dry powders (pharmaceutical powders, chemical raw materials): Prone to static dispersion
  • Plastic powders: Severe static, affects weighing precision
  • Microfine particles (< 10µm): Easily attracted to regular paper
  • Cleanroom weighing: Reduces static-related environmental contamination

💡 Selection Tip: 100 × 100mm is the most commonly used size for routine weighing operations.
For static-prone dry powder samples, anti-static weighing paper is strongly recommended to reduce powder dispersion and improve accuracy.
For micro/valuable samples, use 75 × 75mm for easier quantitative transfer.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Below are standard operating guidelines for weighing paper. Proper use ensures accurate weighing results and experimental efficiency.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect packaging integrity and paper surface for damage or contamination
  • Confirm the size is suitable for the weighing operation
  • Do not use for liquids — parchment paper is not waterproof
  • For anti-static type, optimal performance at 40-60% humidity
04

II. Weighing Operation

  1. Take one sheet and fold into a V-shape or boat shape for easy transfer
  2. Place the weighing paper in the center of the analytical balance pan
  3. Press Tare to zero out the paper weight
  4. Carefully add the sample to the center of the paper using a spatula or spoon
  5. Read and record the weight
  6. Transfer the paper together with the sample to the receiving container
  7. Use the paper as a "chute" to guide powder into the container
05

III. Important Notes

  • Weighing paper is single-use only
  • Do not use for liquids (parchment paper is not waterproof)
  • Do not use for strong acids, alkalis, or corrosive samples
  • Do not use for high-temperature drying or heating
  • Store in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture absorption
  • Dispose according to laboratory waste regulations after use

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "Fold first, transfer with ease" — Pre-fold weighing paper into a V-shape or boat shape for easy quantitative transfer without spillage.
"Static is the enemy of weighing" — Static causes powder dispersion and attraction. Use anti-static weighing paper or an ionizing fan for dry powder weighing.
"Single-use only" — Weighing paper is for single use only to avoid cross-contamination.
