The Wide Mouth Round Plastic Bottle belongs to our laboratory plasticware and is mainly used for storage, transfer, filtration and handling support. Standard sizes cover 100ml~1000ml. Replacing glass where light weight, drop resistance and moderate chemical resistance matter.
The body is made of plastic (grade confirmed at quotation); wide-mouth round bottles usually use PP or HDPE; the grade follows whether autoclaving or low-temperature storage is needed. It works between -10℃ to 80℃ depending on grade; chemically it resists most acids, alkalis and aqueous solutions; not for strong oxidizing acids or some organic solvents; light and drop resistant, opaque to translucent. Surface condition and residue are easy to verify, so cleaning completeness is obvious.
When selecting, confirm medium, temperature and connection first, then fix the size: the medium decides the material, the temperature decides whether heating or autoclaving is possible, and the connection decides whether it mates with existing apparatus. For duties outside the normal range — hot concentrated alkali, fluoride media, vacuum or repeated thermal cycling — our engineers can confirm a suitable option.
Parts are injection or blow moulded in one piece, air-cooled after mould release; interchangeability held by mould precision, keeping items of the same size interchangeable. Work is carried out at controlled stations to prevent scratches and cross-contamination.
Each item is checked for appearance, dimensions and fit before dispatch; sampling covers capacity or graduation deviation, joint fit and wall uniformity. Items from the same batch stay consistent in size and feel, which simplifies central storage and reordering. Inspection records and batch information are available with the goods.
Typical applications
This category covers many items with differing duties; refer to the specific model and quotation.
Suited to daily sampling, handling and pairing.
Define the medium, handling method and interface before choosing a model.
Connects, diverts and reduces so that parts with different joints form a complete train.
Handles on-off, splitting and regulation as a common node in gas and dropping circuits.
Clear structure makes it easy to explain connection order and handling.
Choose by duty
Define the handling method, contact medium and temperature range before choosing material and interface.
Confirm the interface form before pairing with other apparatus; mismatches leak or will not assemble.
Choose material according to the contact medium and operating temperature; refer to the specification block.
Non-standard sizes, special interfaces or volume customisation are quoted separately.
Match size to the volume per run and the number of runs a day; oversize vessels add cleaning load, undersize ones force repeated batches.
Choose graduated or single-mark items when accurate metering matters; skip the accuracy premium for rough transfer work.
Service condition guide
| Condition | Suitability | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ambient storage and transfer | Suitable | aqueous solutions, most acids, alkalis and salt solutions |
| Cold and freezer storage | Conditional | PE types handle low temperature well; PP is slightly more brittle when cold |
| Heating in the vessel | Not advised | plastics conduct heat poorly and deform under local overheating; confirm the grade before any water bath use |
| Flame or dry heat | Not suitable | softens and deforms |
| Vacuum service | Not suitable | limited rigidity, collapses under vacuum |
| Hydrofluoric acid | Conditional | PE and PP both resist HF; avoid glass contact surfaces |
| Strong oxidizing acids | Not suitable | concentrated nitric or sulfuric acid attacks it |
| Autoclaving | Conditional | PP types autoclavable at 121℃; PE types are better chemically disinfected |
Standard procedure
Inspect for cleanliness, cracks and chipped edges before use; a crack spreads quickly under heat or load, so retire the item at once and never patch it.
Assemble as required for various laboratory operations and confirm the connection is secure.
Pour or transfer slowly along the wall to avoid impact on the base and splashing; with volatile or foaming media a slow stream cuts losses and cross-contamination.
Do not heat this item: no flame drying and no high-temperature oven drying.
Clean promptly after use and choose the drying method according to the material; soak stubborn residues first and never scrape the wall with hard tools.
Before first use, clean according to the material; soak in dilute acid where appropriate, rinse thoroughly and dry. New items may carry processing aids, so clean before contact with samples.
Store without stacking or impact, in a ventilated and dry place; long stacking deforms the base, and volumetric ware should stand on its own.
Keep one batch together and label different sizes separately to avoid picking the wrong item; once mixed, the batch is hard to identify when a problem appears.
Keep a usage log with the commissioning date, media contacted and cleaning method, so replacement timing and traceability stay clear.
⚠️ Safety & handling notes
Never flame-dry or oven-dry at high temperature; keep away from hot plates and heat sources.
Avoid impact, dropping and scratching; never carry by a thin or weak section.
Clean immediately after use; dried residues are harder to remove. Avoid abrasive cleaning tools.
Air-dry or dry at low temperature; volumetric ware must never be oven-dried.
Check for cracks, deformation and seal failure after long use and replace when needed.
Items should carry a clear label and usage record; mixed use makes cleaning history and media contact untraceable.
Stop using an item for critical work once it is cracked, chipped, worn at the graduations or leaking; never patch and return it to service.
