Product Description

I. Overview

The plastic reagent reservoir is a highly efficient assistant for multi-channel pipetting operations in the laboratory. Manufactured from high-clarity polystyrene (PS) or polypropylene (PP) through precision injection molding, featuring smooth, transparent channels for easy liquid level observation.

Available in 25ml, 50ml, and 100ml sizes, with sterile individually wrapped packaging — ready to use. V-shaped or U-shaped bottom design guides liquid to the center of the reservoir, enabling efficient pipetting with 8-channel or 12-channel pipettes, greatly improving efficiency and accuracy.

Designed for single-use — no cleaning required, eliminating cross-contamination risks. Suitable for high-throughput screening, ELISA, cell culture, reagent dispensing, and other liquid handling operations.

🔬 Bottom Design Explanation:
V-shaped Bottom — Liquid concentrates in the V-shaped groove at the center, minimizing liquid residue. Ideal for small volume pipetting (<50μl).
U-shaped Bottom — Liquid distributes evenly across the bottom. Ideal for large volume pipetting and rapid operations. Suitable for multi-channel pipette addition.

II. Core Performance Parameters

  • Material: Polystyrene (PS) / Polypropylene (PP)
  • Process: Precision injection molding
  • Spec Range: 25ml / 50ml / 100ml
  • Bottom Type: V-shaped / U-shaped
  • Packaging: Sterile individually wrapped
  • Sterilization: Gamma irradiated
  • Quality: Sterile, pyrogen-free, DNase/RNase-free
  • Compatibility: 8/12-channel pipettes

III. Material & Workmanship

Manufactured from medical-grade PS/PP resin in controlled injection molding environments. The reservoir body is smooth, uniform, and highly transparent for easy level viewing. The V/U-shaped bottom is precisely designed to align with multi-channel pipette tip spacing.

Every batch undergoes rigorous testing to ensure consistent quality.

Selection Guide

I. By Bottom Type

Pipetting MethodRecommended BottomReason
Small volume precise pipetting (<50μl)V-shapedLiquid concentrates at center, minimizesresidue
Large volume rapid pipettingU-shapedEven liquid distribution for fast dispensing
Multi-channel pipette operationV-shaped / U-shapedBoth are compatible

II. By Capacity

  • 25ml: Small volume pipetting, precious reagents, micro operations
  • 50ml: Routine dispensing, ELISA experiments (most common)
  • 100ml: Bulk dispensing, high-throughput screening

💡 Selection Tip: 50ml V-shaped reservoir is the most commonly used size, balancing capacity and recovery efficiency.
To minimize liquid residue, choose V-shaped bottom.
For rapid dispensing, choose U-shaped bottom.
For sterile applications, choose sterile individually wrapped products.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Below are standard operating guidelines for plastic reagent reservoirs. Proper use ensures dispensing efficiency and experimental reliability.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect reservoir packaging integrity
  • Confirm reservoir size matches the required volume
  • For sterile reservoirs, verify sterilization expiry date
  • Avoid touching the inner surface during removal from packaging
04

II. Dispensing Operation

  1. Remove the reservoir from sterile packaging and place on a level surface
  2. Pour the liquid into the reservoir, not exceeding the marked capacity
  3. Use 8 or 12-channel pipettes to aspirate liquid from the reservoir
  4. For V-shaped bottom, insert pipette tips at an angle into the V-shaped area
  5. After dispensing, discard the used reservoir in a waste container
05

III. Disposal

  • Dispose of used reservoirs in waste containers
  • Reservoirs used with biohazardous samples should be disposed according to biosafety regulations
  • Reservoirs used with chemical hazards should be disposed according to chemical waste regulations

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "V-shaped saves reagents, U-shaped saves time" — Choose V-shaped for valuable reagents, U-shaped for bulk operations.
"Insert tips at an angle into V-shaped reservoirs" — For V-shaped bottoms, insert at an angle to minimize liquid residue.
"Single-use only — avoid contamination" — Reservoirs are single-use consumables — do not reuse.
"Follow sterile technique" — When using sterile reservoirs, maintain aseptic technique.
