Product Description

I. Overview

The plastic serological pipette is an essential consumable for precise transfer of larger liquid volumes in the laboratory. Manufactured from high-clarity polystyrene (PS) through precision injection molding, featuring transparent body, clear graduations, and smooth inner surface.

Available in 1ml, 2ml, 5ml, 10ml, 25ml, and 50ml sizes, with individual paper-plastic or plastic wrapping for convenient use and contamination prevention. Sterilized by gamma irradiation, sterile pyrogen-free.

Designed for single-use — no cleaning or sterilization required, eliminating cross-contamination risks. Features positive/negative graduations for precise reading and dispensing. Ideal for cell culture, microbiology, molecular biology, and other sterile applications.

🔬 Product Advantages:
High Clarity — Easy viewing of liquid for pipetting accuracy
Individual Wrapping — Ready to use, prevents cross-contamination
Positive/Negative Grad — Supports precise dispensing and blow-out
Sterility Guaranteed — Gamma sterilized, sterile pyrogen-free

II. Core Performance Parameters

  • Material: High-clarity polystyrene (PS)
  • Process: Precision injection molding
  • Spec Range: 1ml ~ 50ml
  • Packaging: Individually wrapped
  • Sterilization: Gamma irradiated
  • Quality: Sterile, pyrogen-free, non-cytotoxic
  • Graduations: Positive/negative, molded
  • Compatibility: Electric/manual pipettors

III. Material & Workmanship

Manufactured from medical-grade polystyrene (PS) resin in controlled injection molding environments, ensuring high clarity and dimensional accuracy across all sizes. The tube body is smooth and uniform with clear, easy-to-read graduations.

Features negative graduation design, allowing users to dispense volumes beyond the marked capacity for greater pipetting flexibility. Every batch undergoes rigorous testing to ensure consistent quality.

Selection Guide

I. By Capacity

Pipetting RangeRecommended SizeTypical Application
0.2~1ml1mlMicro reagent transfer, standard preparation
0.5~2ml2mlRoutine liquid transfer, media preparation
1~5ml5mlCell culture addition, buffer transfer
2~10ml10mlLarge volume transfer, serum dispensing
5~25ml25mlBulk liquid transfer, media dispensing
10~50ml50mlLarge batch transfer, bioreactor addition

II. By Packaging

  • Paper-Plastic Wrap: Suitable for sterile applications, easy single-use
  • Plastic Wrap: More durable, suitable for long-term storage

💡 Selection Tip: 10ml serological pipette is the most commonly used size for routine liquid transfer.
For sterile applications, always choose individually wrapped sterile pipettes.
For large volume transfer (>10ml), choose 25ml or 50ml sizes.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

Below are standard operating guidelines for plastic serological pipettes. Proper use ensures pipetting accuracy and experimental reliability.

03

I. Pre-use Preparation

  • Inspect packaging integrity and pipette condition
  • Confirm pipette size matches the required volume
  • For sterile pipettes, verify sterilization expiry date
  • Avoid touching the tip and opening during removal from packaging
04

II. Pipetting Operation

  1. Insert the top of the pipette into the pipettor, ensuring a secure seal
  2. Immerse the tip below the liquid surface and aspirate to the desired volume
  3. Read the graduation with the meniscus at eye level
  4. Dispense by touching the tip against the container wall to reduceresidue
  5. Use the negative graduation area if additional blow-out is needed
  6. Dispose of the used pipette in a sharps or waste container
05

III. Disposal

  • Dispose of used pipettes in sharps containers or biohazard waste containers
  • Pipettes used with biohazardous samples should be disposed according to biosafety regulations
  • Pipettes used with chemical hazards should be disposed according to chemical waste regulations

💡 From a Seasoned Lab Technician: "Single-use only — never reuse" — Serological pipettes are single-use consumables — reuse leads to cross-contamination.
"Negative graduation is a great feature" — Allows blow-out of excess liquid for greater pipetting flexibility.
"Read with eye level" — Level your eye with the meniscus for accurate reading.
"Follow sterile technique" — When using sterile pipettes, maintain aseptic technique and avoid touching the tip to non-sterile surfaces.
