Product Description

The standard joint pear-shaped flask is the preferred vessel for rotary evaporators. Its distinctive pear-shaped design provides a larger evaporation surface area, significantly improving concentration efficiency. Manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3, it offers excellent thermal resistance and chemical durability for various organic solvent evaporation applications. The standard 1:10 taper ground glass joint enables secure connections with rotary evaporator units, condensers, and other standard joint accessories.

Key Features

  • Borosilicate Glass 3.3: ISO 3585 compliant, low expansion, thermal shock 280°C
  • Pear-Shaped Design: Larger evaporation surface area for higher efficiency
  • Standard Joint: 1:10 taper, precision ground for reliable sealing
  • Multiple Sizes: Available in 14#, 19#, 24#, 29# joint sizes
  • High Transparency: Easy observation of concentration progress
  • Chemical Resistant: Suitable for various organic solvents
  • Easy Transfer: Pear shape facilitates sample transfer and recovery

Quality Assurance

Every flask undergoes strict dimensional inspection, joint taper testing, and thermal resistance testing to ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Note: Ensure joints are clean and dry before use to prevent sticking. Select appropriate rotation speed and bath temperature based on solvent properties.

Tip: The pear-shaped flask is the preferred vessel for rotary evaporators. The pear-shaped design maximizes evaporation surface area for higher efficiency. Use accessories of the same joint size for optimal sealing.

Operation & Maintenance

User Guide

03

Preparation

  • Inspect flask for cracks, chips, or scratched joints
  • Clean joint surfaces with a soft cloth or cotton swab
  • Apply a small amount of vacuum grease if joints are too tight (avoid sample contamination)
04

Rotary Evaporation Operation

  • Mount the flask securely on the rotary evaporator, ensure tight joint connection
  • Immerse the flask 1/3 to 1/2 into the water bath
  • Select appropriate rotation speed and bath temperature based on solvent properties
  • Gradually increase temperature during evaporation to avoid bumping
05

Assembly & Disassembly

  • Insert with gentle twisting motion, do not force
  • Release vacuum before removal, then gently twist to detach
  • For stuck joints, try heating the outer wall with a hairdryer
06

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean immediately after use to prevent residue buildup
  • Wash joints with soft brush and detergent, avoid hard objects
  • Air dry after washing, store with soft paper between joints
